If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?
This woman to me represents the ultimate power in the most turbulent of times. She knew William Shakespeare, kicked her former brother-in-law’s ass (Spanish Armada) and made England the richest country in Europe. On top of that, she brought peace between Protestants and Catholics, and killed her enemies.
If I could talk to her I would ask about how she felt about having her cousin Mary, Queen of Scots executed. That was a huge decision and I know she didn’t feel good about it.
Before leaving, I would steal a portrait on my way out.
