Jimmy Olsen’s storyline in this movie was written for the fans that are incels.
No way in the 7 parts of hell is a woman of a caliber that bags Lex Luthor interested in Jimmy Olsen. That would make Jimmy Olsen and Lex Luthor equal. Not possible. And what is even less possible is that he is not really interested in her.
I don’t know why Gunn wrote it Jimmy Olsen like this, definitely throwing a bone to the incels, like, “maybe one day you too can get a supermodel type to want to spend time a whole weekend with you” or maybe Gunn is really saying to the men out there, “only in a universe where there are superheroes can you get a woman like that.” That’s harsh. Screw you Gunn!
