DOG: Is Hollywood Done with Channing Tatum?

I have seen the trailer a dozen times. It keeps popping up between videos on YouTube. “Never work with children or animals,” are words to live by in Hollywood. Films with animals is a billboard size warning that an actor’s career is waning.

Don’t get me wrong, actors can come back from working with children and animals but they have to claw their way back. Example: Cuba Gooding, Jr. starred in SNOW DOGS in 2002. Before that he was in Jerry Maguire, Pearl Harbor, and Men of Honor.

What came after Snow Dogs? Boat Trip, Daddy Day Camp, and Norbit, amongst others. Yes he kept working but look at the projects. Ugh…

Playing O.J. Simpson definitely swung his career back the other way (slightly) but the damage was already done.

So to Channing I say: get a new agent and take an acting class or two. Buddy up with James Cameron and Steven Spielberg. Show people you are not just a pretty face.
