Variety put out a list of upcoming films to look forward to. I sifted through that list and here are the ones I believe are worth watching. In no particular order…
SCREAM. Wes Craven is dead. RIP Wes Craven. Now someone else is pulling the strings and has given us the latest film in the Scream franchise. I am feeling nostalgic so I will definitely go see this one.
THE BATMAN. Robert Pattinson is good but as Batman? Uh maybe? Zoe Kravitz might have to carry the film. I will be seeing this one. I hope Rob doesn’t do the deep voice thing that Christian Bale did.
DOWNTON ABBEY: A NEW ERA. You freakin’ loved the show, you know you did! We are all going to see this one.
THE NORTHMAN. I feel like this is Alexander Skarsgard playing Erik Northman from True Blood all over again. Not that I am complaining! It is a maybe.
DISAPPOINTMENT BLVD. The same people behind Hereditary and Midsommar are making this one and those films were scary and trippy so I will definitely check this out.
LEGALLY BLONDE 3. I like Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling co-wrote the script so it’s a maybe. I’m over the pink though.
JURASSIC WORLD: DOMINION. Bringing back the original cast is a smart move. Enough to put people in the seats? Possible.
THE BLACK PHONE. Jason Blum is behind this one so I will see it. I love that he can make blockbuster films and not break the bank doing it.
BULLET TRAIN. Brad Pitt and Bad Bunny together?! Me encanta Bad Bunny y Brad Pitt so I will see this. Plus it takes place in Japan.
NOPE. All I know (and need to know) is that Jordan Peele is making this movie and the freaking gorgeous Steven Yeun is in it.
DON’T WORRY DARLING. Harry Styles and Florence Pugh. 1950s. This could work. I don’t know if he can keep a lid on his sexual charisma long enough to play a character but I am willing to find out. Another Olivia Wilde project.
HALLOWEEN ENDS. Finally.
CANTERBURY GLASS. Impressive cast.
THE FABELMANS. Steven Spielberg and Seth Rogen working together will be phenom.
KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON. Like what I am seeing so far.
That’s it. That’s the list. There are Marvel films coming out and something with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum but I couldn’t get past her outfit and I don’t like Marvel movies.
